It started some time during the late eighties early nineties, with Madonna singing some dude made her feel like a virgin. And it just sort escalated from there. (It might have started way earlier thou, I am only 22, so anything really old I won't have discovered yet.)
Alice Copper made a video with half naked women prancing around in a room full of chains hanging from the ceiling. That was considered risqué. It's was considered downright indecent.
And then comes the middle and late nineties. The innocent little pop-princesses started growing up. Discovering the world, and themselves, and, well, sex.
It gave us Britney videos like this:
(I was gonna embed Slave 4 you here, but I couldn't find a video that would let me embed it. This one shows my point thou. Which was Britney singing about how she has grown up while prancing around with her underwear on the outside of her clothes.)
And the world-famous (and many places banned) Christina video:
I must admit this is about where I stopped listening to the radio, and just about then Crappy-Reality-Show-Channel (otherwise known as MTV) stopped showing music videos, so the further development was lost on me.
That is until lady GAGA entered the stage. Her style blatantly stolen from fetish models such as Miss Mosh. (Warning: I have waived the no porn rule in this case. That is a fetish porn site. It is NOT SAFE FOR WORK (or moms))
She put on latex and ballerina heels and made herself out to be the next big shocking thing.
Her lyrics have a double meaning and sexual innuendo up the wazoo.
(Chosen because it was the first of her videos I was exposed to.)
She kept escalating and eventually donned a wannabe-gimpmask and made Bad Romance.
It's rather stunning visually actually.
In between these two, Britney wanted to show she could be sexy too.
And fell flat on her face.
Her next try was way better:
Now, however, Christina has showed once and for all, she can outfetish just about any pop-princess.
I give you: Not Myself Tonight
NSFW
It might not work in embedding, seeing as it's tagged as mature. If it doesn't you have to be over 18, and have a youtube account and go watch it here:

Things I found on youtube^^,
Gil (Sebastian Bach of Skid Row) singing Hollaback Girl. It's the hottest version of this song ever made^^, His voice is so sexyXD (I am a bit sleep-deprived, can you tell?XD)
Okey, next I was going to find the credits for Bitch Slap, with the hot girls you know?
Buuuuuut, I STILL can't find it. Seriously, it's right before I buy the DVD, rip the thing, and post the damned video myself.>=O
If someone can find it for me so that I can embed it, I'll be eternally grateful^^,
Leeeet's see.... What else can we find on youtube?
Oh em gee! Do you remember this one! I loved this song!
I have a tiny obsession with Japanese popprincesses/actresses. Namely Anna Tsuchiya and Mika Nakashima^^,
This is the former^^,
Wow O.o Boy, that takes me back.......
Remember V?
We could sit for hours, reading and listening to her album......
I used to love this song.......
Still do.....
This is the single brightest example of how obsessive I can become about songs.
I saw this video on ZTV, and I got my dad's friend to burn it on a CD for me. So I had a whole CD with only this one song on it. And I had it on repeat, all day. I would sit in my room, doing what-ever listening to nothing but this song. Drove mom crazy.^^, Sorry, mom. Still one of my all-time favourite songs thou^^,
Once upon I had a friend called L (I have many other Ls now, this is a completely different L)
We were the best friends in the entire world. And we would go down Karl Johan, hand in hand, singing this song at the top of our lungs, wearing all black, with tons of make-up on, just having a great time, while everyone stared at us like we were crazy. Which, of course, we both were^^,
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever made.
Why did I ever stop listening to this kind of music?
Why is it not allowed to listen to both bubblegum dance and orchestral metal?
Makes me sad......
I also used to listen to a spoken word duo called Lille Ulv og Svane around this time. I can't find them on youtube thou. They had the most gorgeous music......
Ooooh! Look-see! I found something fun! Sad nostalgia time over now^^,
German MIA:
Indian MIA:
Beatles:
Warning! It appears to be violence in this particular video. Which is as it should, seeing as there is violence in the song^^,
Tom Lehrer:
More Tom Lehrer:
An entirely different Clementine:
I get goosebumps from this song...^^,
I think I need to stop this showing of my subconscious now^^,
Not because I don't have more, but because I can't think of it right nowXP
I am gonne curl up with my leftover popcorn and listen to all my music now^^,
Edit:
I could think of some more^^,
I love love LOVE this version^^, Too bad Tarja got too greedy. I was never really that into Nightwish, but I lust adore her voice^^,
(I will refrain from posting this song twice and save the Sarah Brightman version for laterXD)
We have Zydrate Anatomy AGIAN^^, It's a must for these kind of posts^^,
Sorry about the slide show, the real video had it's embedding disabled=(
Paris is just too hot in this movieXD
Yeah, I know. Eeeeevrybody had heard this song. But I like it okey?
The Late Isabel
All my friends are tired of Flowers, so we are doing Desert instead^^,
Been kind of obsessed with this song lately. I love this song^^,
And this^^,
I have an entire video in my head for this one. I am gonna make it one day, and it's gonna be really disturbing.
Likewise with this.... I need to learn to animate. Soon.
You know who you are^^,
I love murderballads
Speaking of Nick Cave:
Speaking of twisted lyrics:
I always saw Candy as a really broken little girl putting on a pretty face for the world.
She has really sick lyrics sometimes.
Toned it down a little when she switched labels thou. Which is why all her best songs are on the first album.
(On a side note: I hate EMI! Why on earth should I not be allowed to listen to a Norwegian artist, when I am in friggin' Norway?! Stupid EMI, hate EMI!!!)
I see a ballerina music box falling, mirror shatteing on impact, broken, cracked ballerina, all bloody and messy rising from the wreckage. Anybody want to make music videos with me?
Let the related reel take you strange and wonderful places. Strange anyhowXD
Yeah, I like Aly&AJ. So hate me. See if I care.
Yup... Out of ideas again. Might another edit in ten minutes thou^^,
I am bad at limiting myself^^,
Edit:
Well what do you know. I could think of more^^,
This song still makes me cry....
Well what do you know. I find NANA in the related reel for Maria Mena. I am pleasantly surprised.
I need more non-melancholic music memories. I need to make myself a better past...
(As in being happy now, so that the past I'll have in a couple of years will be better....=j)
Make a happy music memory with me, won't you please?
Typing randomness in the search field can on occasion have wonderful results^^,
luffluffluff^^,
LUFF!!!
Another song that makes me cry... (Figuratively speaking. I rarely cry...)
I discovered her in the metal section. She had been sorted after the V-method. (The male V, not the female. I need to get me some friends who start with different letters....)
luff^^,
LUFFFFFFFF!!!!
I had almost forgotten all about Danzig O.o I used to LOVE Danzig!!!!
I LOVE this song!!! I was obsessed with this song!
I have been obsessed with a lot of songs over the years...O.o
Cue emo memories. I was such a mess at 15.....
I should go to bed.......
I really should.....

Why South Korea ROCKS MY PANTS!!!!
Forget about super groups. You can take any fifteen guys and have them dance any day, I will never be impressed by anything less than a couple hundred inmates dancing at once EVER AGAIN.
South Korea just plain ROCKS!!!!
Okey, so I am so scared of zombies I am sometimes afraid to go out when it's dark, so the intro to this one freaked me out. I am seriously cold-sweating and shaking right now, and I skipped it once I saw the twitching walking men. Yeah, just laugh, I am used to it. God, my heart is beating right out of my chest O.o
But: It's Michael Jackson!
Took the video down. You can find it yourself if you need to see it. It was Thriller performed by the same inmates that did the video above.
And in case you wonder, I skip every Weregeek story line with zombies, if recurring zombie characters appear in anything, I stop reading or watching whatever it is.
Reapers can make my scream, and I have recurring nightmares about them.
I have to cover my eyes if I walk past Sense and sensebilities and Zombies in a bookstore.
My chest hurts right now, because I was stupid enough to not switch the thriller video off and I accidentally switched over to it. Luckily I have flashblock thou, so even thou you can enjoy the inmates being zombies I can just not load it.
I wil probably take it doen when I get home thou.
And yes, I know damned well that Reapers are not Zombies, but they are alike enough that I freak out if I am a little fragile that day.
Seriously, the cover of Shawn of the Dead scare the heck out of me.
Aaaaaand, I am babling, that si how freaked I am right now.
And M, I am so grateful that you are taking the zombies out of the D&D, you have no idea. I got scared just talking about them that night. I am not exagerating here.
Just the idea of zombies freak me out. So thank you.
And whoever shows up to any Halloween party I might hold as a zombie won't even be let in until they go home and change.
Seriouly... My hands are shaking.

Hell has frozen over
Tinkerbell likes country.
Boyfriend discovered this country singer called Miranda Lambert, and she's awesome. No Jenny Hansen at all. (In case you are not Norwegian, Jenny Hansen is the most awful country singer known to man. But if you like her, that's cool, I am not judging, I just don't.)
Here's my favourite song so far=D=D
It's called gunpowder and lead, and it has the most awesome quote ever: "His fist is big, but my gun is bigger." Seriously you need to listen to the lyrics in this song^^,
So yah, Hell has frozen over^^,

Feeling down? Then have I got videos for you!
This first one is totally "WTF?!"
At first you go "yay, boybands. Let's laugh at their synchronized dancing, and coordinated clothing." And then you're all "WTF?! What's up with that guy?" And then you're all "Holy f***!!! He's doing what now with his mouth and Oh Em Gee!!!!" And then you're all "I didn't think this could get weirder, but boy, was I wrong"
Seriously fun^^,
Enjoy:
And this next one is NSFW. It has boobies. And kitties. And boobies. It is adorable^^,
Yay boobies^^,
EDIT:
For those who want the kittens, but not the boobies, I give you "Kittens inspired by kittens."

Let the related links take you strange and wonderful places
I started at 2NE1 and BIGBANG singing Lollipop, a good three hours ago.
Right now, the related links have taken me here:
I have no idea how I ended up here, but I LOVE Bollywood. Have I ever mentioned that?
EVERY single movie out of that wonderful place has music and dancing! Every single one!
What's not to love?
I saw a scene production Henrik Ibsens Lady from the Sea a long while ago, in Bollywood style. Which was what opened my eyes for Bollywood. But the thing is, while getting subbed Bollywood movies probably isn't as hard as I think, I haven't gotten around to it yet.
The only Bollywood-esque movie I have ever the whole of was some Pakistani deal, where they to actually fit the whole thing on the VHS had taken all the dancing and singing OUT TT.TT
But, happily, there is an annual Bollywood festival here in Oslo. I think I am actually gonna prepare and go this year. (Prepare, because I usually find out when it's being held, the week after it's done. Yah....)
Fun fact of highly dubious truthabilty (when you can't think of a word, you make one up^^,):
I was told once that a lot of these songs go in the fashion of "If you so much as look at my man ever again I am gonna gut you with a suitably terrifying looking weapon"XP
Have NO idea whatsoever if this is correct, but fun ne?
Study tiem now?
Yes, I think I betterXP

Asia takes the boyband to a new level^^,
How many are they? 15?
I am not really a boyband fand, but this is freakin' aweome=D
I don't real Korean (they are Korean right), but from the related videos, some of which has Latin lettering in the title they are called Super Junior M, but don't take my word for it.
I kinda have this thing for Asian super groups, you know the super constructed pop bands with 10-20 members. They are so much fun^^,
But so far I have only seen the female versions, but I guess I should not be surprised that they have male groups as well^^,
This might or might not be the same group (I had it running in the background so I haven't studied it), and can you say FUN?
(Also the guys are HOT XP)
This was the video that got me started off today. I found it as a related video to a Milky Way video I think. Go figure. Or maybe Eggs. Not sure^^,
Tinkerbell has a cold. So I am staying home, watching youtube videos, and playing with my vintage Pokémon games^^,
This next video is not for religious people. There I have warned you, and I don't want to hear any complaining, and I'm not gonna discuss religion with you. I have viewpoints, as have most other people, but I have a cold, so I am not up for any theology discussing. I just think it's a funny song^^,
Also I discoverred Boxxy yesterdayO.o (Welcome after, I knowXP)
Oh em gee! Can you say girl-crush?! She is freakin' ADORABLE!!!!^^,
She is so kyoooooot!!!!^^,

WTF?!
Judge not, lest ye be judged. But WTF is wrong with her parents?!
This is obviously an expensive production. WTF?!
This is obviously an expensive production. WTF?!
I think I'm turning Japanese
So I discovered this video. I'm betting everyone is all "welcome after" right now. But here you have Kirsten Dunst as Akihabara Majokko Princess^^,
Warning. Depending on your boss, it might not be NSFW, due to some short clips of lightly clad, big chested anime girls. But it's not what the song is about, and it can be easily ignored^^,
And just because no one else seems to have posted them, here are the complete lyrics. (The way my ears present them to me anywayXP)
Akihabara Majokko Princess - Turning Japanese lyrics
I've got your picture
of me and you
you wrote "I love you"
I wrote "me too"
I sit there staring and there's nothing else to do
Oh, it's in colour
your hair is brown
your eyes are hazel
and soft as clouds
I often kiss when there's no one else around
I've got your picture
I've got your picture
I'd like a million of you all to myself
I want a doctor
to take your picture
so I can look at you
from inside as well
You've go me turning up
and turning down
and turning in
and turning on
Turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
x4

everyone around is a total stranger
everyone avoids me like psyton ranger
everyone

I have 1922 pages to read by 5th of november. Not counted my homework. Which I really should be doing right now. But I have to hang up the clean clothes first.
So I am gonna embed you a very nice song, and do some house work before I do some homework and go to bed.

Music for rainy days
It's 20:57, the sky is a sicky dark orangy red sort of colour (gotta love that light pollution right?), and it's raining.
I got home about an hour ago and my shoes are still dripping (yes litteraly, Keds are not made for rainy weather) where they hang in the bathroom. Ditto with my jeans and umbrella.
But I have youtube and webcomcis. And I haven't updated in forever. So here's some music for rainy days. Right after this link to the cutest webcomic ever. Questionable content. You all need to read the archives. It's only 1507 pages, and the art gets better after a while. As does the storytelling^^,
EDIT: Broken link fixed
Now for teh MUZAK:
All the clips with the original footage had disable embedding by request, so this is the best I could do. Sorry.
It features Sarah Brightman and Alex Vega from the Spykids movies. It's from the gothic splatter musical Repo! the Genetic Opera.
This is Koda Kumi, a new discovery of mine. Fun video as well
Most beauiful song ever. If I ever get around to getting good at 3D animating I'm making a video for this one. I've had the storyboard in my head for almost a year now.
Can't be bothered locating the way superior Manu Chau version of this, so you'll just have to make do^^,
And for last I'm gonna show you some of the most amazing pole dancing I have ever seen. Try tto look past the fact that it's a half naked chick. The women dancing hanging from veils at the circus wear no more clothes than this, but for some reason that is socially acceptable. Try to see the amazing things she gets her body to do please^^,
(besides the song is awesome)
EDIT:
How stupid of me. I almost forgot the theme song to the most awesome after school cartoon EVAH XD
And while I'm at it:
Oh and:
Hammer me please, Dr. Horrible. Making googoo eyes at Dr Horrible.
To lazy to find one with footageXP
Purdiest version EVER^^,
I'm gonna stop now. Will try to resist the temptation to add more.
I'm so gonna use this post as play listXD Hoping some of you will do that as well^^,

Watchmen
So, I just got home from Watchmen. Two words: Awe Some^^,
It was a FilmNoir-splatter-action-doomsday-movie. The Rorschach voice over was just too cool, and Doctor Manhattan was amazingly emotive in his flatness.
Okey: how 'bout a trailer peeps?
The splatter effects were fantastic. I love gore, and this had plenty. But not icky, pointless gore, more like to illustrate points, and where it was natural. Exploding people leave bones and softer bits sticking out of the walls and ceiling, they just do. And they did. If you break a mans leg by a fly-kick, sometimes bits of bone will be sticking out the other side. That's just the way it is. It wasn't pointless, but it was certainly wasn't for queasy peopleXP
As with most movies, some actors was way better than others.
Doctor Manhattan was by far the character that touched me the most. He was so alive, despite the fact that he way detached to the point of almost being devoid of emotions. He goes through most of the film with a flat face, but to me who spend a lot of time watching the eyes (mirror of the soul, seriously) saw tons of emotion. Doctor Manhattan is a sad man. When Laurie leaves him he couldn't have conveyed the feeling of despair better had he started screaming. His head at an angle and his eyebrows pulled ever so slightly together, he could just as well have had tears streaming down his face. And on Mars, the way his eyes kept shifting, he could simply not have done it any better in any way.
Laurie, on the other hand, was dead. She her eyes were flat and emotionless, and she did not use her voice to convey emotion in the ways she could and should have. I think that her lack of emotion became so much more apparent when Doctor Manhattan had so much of it, even thou he hadn't. She was the one character in the movie with most opportunities to overact, and she did only take one of them. And she could very well have taken many more. The one she did take, she did so poorly, she really hadn't needed to bother.
Rorschach was awesome. His mask was cool, and the character was cool, and the actor did a great job.
There were lots of cool little details. Like the smiley on Mars (there really is a smiley on Mars BTW: Just take a look).
There were some things that I didn't catch thou, because they were poorly laid out. I thought Rorschach and Laurie were siblings, kinda, until fiancé told me that those were really two different scenes shot at the same angle. There are these two different scenes, with different actors and all, but they are shot at the almost exact same angle, and the two women sorta look alike, and the sets used are almost identical, so of course I get confused. They are not, however the same women, so Rorschach and Laurie are not siblings. (It did seem weird at the moment as well.)
All in all, it was awesome. Well worth the load of money I paid to go see it^^,
I'll see if I can get around to posting some Berlin pictures soon^^,
Word of the day:
ロールシャッハテスト - rōrushahhatesuto - Rorschach test

I heart this parody (aka. I heart geeks)
I wrote a few weeks ago about the new Britney song, womanizer. And here's the most genius parody song ever!
Now, who does not want a man like this? I, lucky girl that I am, already bagged me one of these=D Now don't tell me you're not green with jealousy, 'cos I know you are=D
I decided a long time ago that I don't like people with no geeky traits. People without passion are just... well, boring.
My definition of geek might vary a bit from the generally know one. I don't see geeks as singleminded dorks with no lovelife outside of WOW. I see geeks as people with a passion. Be that WOW, Pokémon, comicbooks, or football. Yes football, there are at least as many ManU geeks as there are comisbook geeks. A geek is someone who loves something and get all fired up and passionate whenever they talk about it. And I don't like people who doesn't get this way about anything. They're boring. And a bit scary....
Most people come to terms with, and many even start to embrace their inner geek when presented with this definition=D
And if you're not jealous af me and and my geeky fiancé yet, there's something serious wierd with youXP

Dell is a wonderful company. Period ^^,
A bit over two years ago I bought my laptop from Dell through the fiancé's company. Some time around may I got worried 'cos it was very noisy and it seemed to be literally falling apart. I held of calling support for the longest time (upwards of six months at least), not wanting to send it of for repair. When I finally called them I met a very nice man, who sent (!) another very nice man home (!!) to me with a brand new fan, and a brand new DVD player and new screws to fix it. I was so happy, my baby was fine again.
Well, for the last couple of weeks there has been something wrong with the crocodile key (the one that makes these: < >), and for over a year there has been colour errors on my screen. So I called them again today, to inquire very nicely if maybe someone could come fix the broken heap. Which somebody will. Tomorrow. I love these people. They are so nice, and so polite, and I love them. Wonderful, wonderful company. I can't wait to be able to write again (I'm on the fiancé's laptop at the moment).
When we are talking about nice people, I called ups earlier to clear up some import tax problems. You see, the stupid people at cafepress have decided that books should be marked with the same label as everything else they send out. Ceramics etc. Which makes the customs people think that we are importing ceramics etc. instead of books. Now, in Norway, importing books are free, everything else aren't. So of course we got slammed with a huge import tax bill that we did not care to pay. So I called them up and met a very nice lady who laid all the blame on carepress and told me we would not have to pay anything, she even took away the late charges. She was extremely nice, which was great because I sometimes have a hard time calling for stuff like this, and people like her and the man at Dell makes it much easier for me^^,
I just got to show you some videos now. Or mashups to be exact. There is this Norwegian dude on the tube that has understood that when mashups ar concerned less is certainly more. He has made two wonderful Bertine Zetlitz/Kraftwerk mashups that I just have to share:
I like the first one best. But they are both wonderful^^,

Simon's cat
I just have got to plug this man. He knows cats, that's for sure. Now, Tullerusk doesn't like walking on people so she doesn't do this, but the jumping right back up, I used to know a sweet little kitty that used to do that. She could lie on your lap for hours, and my fiancé, who was the cats human (you don't own a cat, it's the other way around XP) use to tell the story of how she used to growl at him when he wanted to go to the bathroom when she wanted to stay exactly where she wasXD I miss Askepott... Well anyways here is the video, and I urge you all to watch the rest of his videos. He knows cats...
