I need to study for my exams. I try my very best to study for my exams, but there is some sort of issue, residing presumably, between the chair and the book.
I take up my books, and stare at them for minutes on end, and then my hand moves toward the keyboard on it's very own, types F and hits enter, and then I trapped in a maze of FaceBook games and the books are completely forgotten. Once in a while, if said hand wants to mix it up it types Y, and I am instantly lost amidst videos of cute kittens, videos teaching Japanese or drawing or make-up, or videos of awesome Asian supergroups.
Yesterday my brain decided that UrbanDictionary needed the definition of mine and my friends inside expression for changing the subject of a conversation: Apropos kjøttkaker. (My dad makes the best meatballs (or meatcakes rather) in the world^^,)
About five minutes ago the hand decided to check how many hits this blog had gotten today, and then went on to decide that I had gotten entirely too few, and that that was probably due to the fact that I haven't updated since Friday. Hence this post.
I had originally inteded to sit down with Gacha-L and study today, but there was an issue with the train and she could not make it. We'll catch up thou^^,
The result was ofcourse that my pesky hand have only wanted to play on FaceBook.
I think I have proven beyond any hint of doubt that the problem most definetly resides between the chair and the books.
I have been walking some today thou. 11k steps. I have started to walk to and from school. I takes a good 40 minutes, but the fresh air and sun really feels good^^, Also it gets me lots of watt for my Pokéwalkers^^,
For some reason, my Pokéwalker did not want to unlock Hoenn Field this morning, even thou I have transferred more than 5000 watts to my SoulSilver game. I will see later thou, but I might have to beat Elite Four first. That is my current thoery anyway. I should be able to have them beat by the weekend at least. I can have them beat today, but I trying not to play for several hours every day. It distracts me from the exam-cramming I supposed to be doing.
I could ofcourse leave the computer at home, but I need to look up things that I don't understand.
I really love spring. It's almost half past 5 and the sun is still high in the sky.^^,
I left my jacket at home this morning, it was a little chilly walking to school, but not freezing, but then I remembered that I have to walk home (or ride the Metro) at 8PM tonight, and that might be cold, so I had to go home and get it.
I am thinking of popping home to my parents sometime this week to get my spring jacket.
I think I am going to at least try to read a bit today. I have actually gotten some reading done today, but there's no way in hell that I am going to get through everything if I keep going at this pace. Especially if you take into consideration that I have only started on one of my subjects.
If anyone have a study tips I would love to hear them.
I all have is trying to write mock-ups of exam papers and eating lots of sushi. (You know, because Omega3 is supposed to be good for your memory^^,)

Tinkerbell writesO.o
So I had this idea when I was walking to my class yesterday, (and this is the reason why I LOVE my huge memory on my cellphone,) so I wrote it down, and I would lie to share.
I am gonna apologize to my international readers thou, I have not translated it. I am not sure that I am going to, but if I do I will post that as well. If anyone wanna give it a shot (and I like your translation) I will post it, and give you credit and whatever. But I want post it by default, I am gonna need to like your translation and feel that it has translated the feeling of the text.
So here goes:
flokken min
neste i unison
vi er en saueflokk
som higer etter kunnskapen
som skal gi oss grunnlaget
til å skape en bedre imorgen
kanskje for hele verden
kanskje bare for oss selv
men vet dere én ting
imorgen
Yeah, so it's not supposed to be anti-study or anything, it's just that a lot of students get so hung up on getting good grades and being well prepared for the life that comes after that they forget to enjoy what is happening right now.
These are supposed to be the best years of our lives, and we need to enjoy them as such I think, or we will regret it painfully when they are over.
Good grades are still alpha and omega thou. You'll need them for later. Multitasking people! Have fun AND get good grades! Getting good grades is fun! WoooXD

Facebook is Evol (or rather Facebook apps are)
You want the complete list of Facebook apps that I play every single day? No? I don't think I care, you're gettin' it anyway
I play:
Restaurant city (where I have completed 30% of all my dishes and rank level 52)
Pet Society (where I collect upwards of 5000 Paw Points a day and in this writing moment rank level 28)
Country Story (where I have eleven 100% complete trophies and rank level 31)
Farm Ville
Fish Ville
Café World
Castle Age
Vampire Wars
Some days I also play:
Pet Ville
Island Paradise
Ponzi
Walk for the Cure (great game. You buy real life cancer research time by playing. Go play now!!!)
Pirates Rule the Caribbean
And people wonder why I never seem to get anything done?
I can spend several hours a day on these games. It's almost horrendous. I have to grab myself by the neck and go sit somewhere far away from my laptop if I am ever gonna get any studying done.
But I have gotten better at that thou. I studied until I literally was so tired the book made absolutely no sense to me. Yay me=D
Oh well, I better go somewhere else and study a bit more. I have thirty pages of linguistics to read for tomorrows lecture... Woooo....

Uninspiration. The mother of facebook addiction
Yeah, I have to read around 200-250 pages by Tuesday. And I am so uninspired. I keep opening my textbooks and just staring blankly at the open pages, and then going to check if my chicken grass has grown yet.
Facebook is bad for my study habits.
I think this has something to do with the fact that I feel asleep at 5 am this morning. I had forgotten to take my meds apparently and thus I could not sleep.
I lieu of actually reading I am doing some flashcards thou, so that I at least learn something. I am trying anyway. I am not tired or sleepy or anything. Just majorly uninspired.
And Hume is boring. He really is.
And abstract syntactic construction is... I don't know what it is, I have read the first 5 sentences about 10 times today and I have idea what they say.
One thing thou, I thought my philosophy book was heavy reading, it's like a piece of perfectly baked, still warm blueberry pie with a mound of whipped cream and a cherry on top compared to the linguistics book. I do grasp the fact that scientific literature looks better if it's full of long words and complicated formulations (so as to not be unspecific you see), but mostly it just makes the whole thing hard to read.
Oh well. I guess I will have to try and read some more. Tomasello! I choose you!

The subject is called Language Acquisition? Time to break out the big words people!
Yeah, so Language Acquisition? Love the subject! Hate the textbooks.
I realize that it's academic books, and that they like to use academic words, but they are long and hard and make me feel stupid=(
I finally got my Constructing a Language by Tomasello
in the mail on Friday.
And I have to back read three chapters, and read an entire new chapter for tomorrow (yeah, good luck with thatXP).
And I have read a bit over 10 pages of the 40 page chapter I should read for tomorrow, and I don't understand nearly any of it at all. It's all long words and complicated sentences. It's a really interesting subject, and the lecturer we have had so far is really good at making me understand all this hard stuff. I don't really get an idea of what's expected of me until we get our presentation assignments thou. (We have one compulsory assignment). But I am guessing I'll be fine.

I hate philosophy
Descartes is so booooooring.
He just goes on and on about how the things he earlier held to be truths most likely are not true at all. And then he suddenly starts going on about "oh em gee, I don't even have proof that I am awake right now, I might be asleep", and I am like double-u tee eff, and oh em gee, these stupid philosophers make me speak tween! Gah!!!11one
I can't wait to get to Heisenberg and actually read about something interesting. Nuclear physics is at least fun!
God, I need a fix of Pokémon, or Firefly, or Angel or something fun! Maybe I should dig up One More With Feeling and see that? I have Repo on a DVD somewhere I think....
Zydrate Anatomy would do me good just about now. *stalks off to see Zydrate Anatomy on youtube*

The old greeks were sexists
Okey, I realize that in old Greece and Rome and all these places sexist and racist theories were the general norm of things (like antisemitism was really normal before WW2), but it's still kind of upsetting to read Socrates talk about how to keep the race clean (that is nearly an exact quote), and Aristotle talk about how women and genetically inferior to men, which makes us unfit to hold high positions.
I realize that all of these notions are in theory antiquated, but in reality they aren't. In reality you still have racism, and Social Darwinism, and people who seriously believe that some people are unfit to have children and should be neutered.
I think one of the reasons these thoughts upset me this much is that if the practices of neutering inferior people, or killing inferior children still held sway to day I would either be neutered or dead.
It is no secret that I was an odd and, lets say troubled, child, and the fact of the matter is that if I had been living in a society where killing of children that did not live up to the ideal where the norm, I would not be allowed to grow up. Never mind that I am fairly intelligent, I am off, and that would have been my death sentence.
Had I been allowed to grow up thou, I would have been neutered, because I do struggle with mental issues, and this was for literally thousands of years seen as hereditary (with some mental illnesses this is actually correct thou), and it would have been held without a doubt that I would transfer my madness into my offspring, and this is bad for society, so I would be neutered.
It's kind of frightening to think about these things actually. That had I lived in ancient Greece I might very well have been forced to live in some enclave, and not been allowed to even go out in the world and meet regular people. (Not 100% clear to me if this was the case in ancient Greece or if I have a wrong idea formed on the things I read in my philosophy book.)
I am very lucky indeed to live in a time (and in a country, very lucky to live in Norway, cold and drab as it might be) where it's considered my right to receive help, so that I can function in society, and so that I can actually go to school and learn about how lucky I am to live in said time and country.
In fact there are still countries today where I would be locked out of sight, and would be allowed to sink so deep into my illness that I would not be able to emerge at all, and that is a scary, scary thought.
As a conclusion to this ramble I would like to thank my family, my boyfriend and my friends, who are here for me, and who believe that I have not only the right, but the ability to be a functioning member of society. You all rock=D=D

Tomorrow is too far away
So I get my Acer Aspire Timeline 4810tg tomorrow between 8 and 12 in the morning. It's a really long time to wait.
But I'm spending tomorrow setting it up. Downloading and installing programs, tweaking said programs to work the way I want them to. Sticking stickers all over it. Testing if it really has 8 hours of battery life. That sort of thing=D
In the mean while I am distracting myself by reading about Aristotle. Which is boring to be quite honest, but necessary. I have a lecture on him this Tuesday, and I lear much better if I come prepared. That and playing facebook games. XP I have finished aalmost 20% of all my dishes on Restaurant City. Which is nice=D'
More Aristotle now=D

Concering my love of first lectures
I am a very excitable sort of person. All who really know me know this, and school is certainly no exception. I usually completely fall in love with all my classes during the first few lectures, and then after a while my feelings cool somewhat. Making me complain, and lecturing on about the boringness of said class. I usually pass everything thou. I have flunked twice on an exam in my entire life (more than most I am guessing), one because of a too great workload (four exams in two weeks simply proved to much for me), and one because I simply am very bad a at German.
Today I had my first Language Acquisition lecture. We are going to learn about how children first acquire language skills, about language development, and about acquiring second-language skills.
And it's so interesting I can hardly contain my excitement.
I have some suspicions that I will keep on loving this subject thou, because it's basically about the things that I found most interesting in the Language Science class I took last semester.
Language hugely interest me, and always have. I remember in Elementary School, when we started learning English, I had at one point the huge (it seemed to me at the time) epiphany that English and Norwegian words are built the same way. (Like maybe is combined from may and be and can be elongated to "that may be so", and such. You can do the exact same with kanskje, which is the same word in Norwegian.) This comes of course from the fact that these two languages are related, and have developed from the same language, but I learned this later.
As for the project of buying a laptop. Boyfriend and I went looking at laptops yesterday, and I figured, why pay 15k for a laptop when I can pay half that for something just as good? So no MacBook for meXP
Right now we are considering an Acer with an absolutely astounding battery life. It claims to be able to deliver up to 8 hours of solid working time, which was one of the things that attracted me to the MacBook in the first place. 3 hours of working time on a laptop simply will not do, I need to have a laptop that can actually last me an entire school day, not just three hours. Especially since I have not found anywhere I can recharge my laptop.
This little Acer deal is also super light, and will hopefully be able to actually fit comfortably in my backpack, something which my 15,6" Dell laptop can not.
Boyfriend is helping me confirm that this is indeed the laptop for me, and if it is I will run down-town later and buy my new baby.
I need to think up a name for her thou. In my house hold all the computers have names, so that we are easily able to differentiate between them, my Dell is called PlayGround (because that is what it was originally meant to be), the tablet is called Frøet(Froeet) (which means frog in Danish and can be used to refer to small things in Norwegian (the reference to frogs in keeping with the amphibian theme we use for naming laptops in said house holdXP)).
I have not decided yet, might not chose an amphibian name at all, maybe I will call her something else. And before you ask, all my electronic appliances are female, mostly because I firmly believe that most males are not as fussy as my electronics, and therefore they are female. Females generally need much more care than males. Should I ever acquire a stationary computer there is of course the possibility that it will be male, depending on how often it breaks down or over heats and such matters. (Plus, I like things to be pink, and while men certainly can wear pink, I usually find pink to be much more appealing on womenXP)
I am gonna go lose myself in my textbooks now=D I just love new textbooks. All that new knowledge just waiting for me to absorb it=D

Phear my awesome powers of procrastination
Facebook is just too addictive. I have discovered a whole lot of games, the type that needs to be checked on every hour. And when you play about 15 of those games, and they take about 5 min each every hour, you can imagine I can't get any studying done.
I did study for almost three hours yesterday thou, so I'm not shirking completely, but it's less than it should have been.
I'm taking philosophy as a "private student", which basically means no classes for me. I just have to study hard by myself and then I will take an exam this Christmas. And that is hard. I am really rather interested in philosophy, but I started of with Menon, and it's just about the most boring thing I have ever read. It's slowly inching itself toward interesting, but it's slow going. I'd much rather read "Princess Bride".
Which by the way is an awesome book. It's all full of funny phrasings and good jokes. I will do a more complete review once I have finished it. Which would be around Friday I would guess.
And I have this whole chapter in phonology to read by tomorrow. I better get started I think=D

I am such a good girl>.<
So I went to my first lecture today. Angst is such a sucky thing, which is why I kind of started going a little late. But on the plus side, this was the first day of lectures for this particular subject, so I haven't missed anything.
I almost didn't go thou, I had not read the lesson plan thoroughly enough, so I showed up an hour early. And I was convinced I had the wrong day and that it was yesterday or something, but I called mom and she told me the reason why there was no-one there, so I went a got myself some coffee and waited until they started.
And I have come to the conclusion that archive theory is a whole lot of fun^^,
I have no idea why, and the funny thing was that it was actually kind of boring for the first two periods. It did not get any interesting until they started talking about the proper way to write a qualifying paper. (Yeah I have to qualify to take the exam.) And then there was archive law which was also fun. (Go figure)
I think the actual reason why the first two periods were boring was mostly that the teacher had next to no volume to his voice, so it was difficult to hear him. That, plus he droned. His voice was like white noise, the exact same volume (low) all the time, and no enthusiasm at all. And that is just the thing, when the teacher sounds bored, I get bored, and it gets impossible to pay attention. Plus the history of archiving is (or seems to be, what I can remember) boring.
I got two periods of archiving tomorrow as well, or I have three, but I have exfac (basically a subject designed to prepare you for the line of study which you have chosen, so language theory in my case) at the same time as one of the archiving classes, so I chose exfac.
I'm guessing nothing of this is way to interesting, so I am gonna stop nowXP
But, hey, it's my blog, so I will write about whatever I pleaseXP
I'll probably geek out tomorrow about language theory. Which I have been reading about to make up for my lost classes, and it's really interesting. We are apparently doing phonetics, and I have been spending all my commuting time trying out which sounds corresponds to what in the phonetic alphabet and where my tongue goes when I pronounce said sounds. And I have probably been driving all my fellow commuters insane, what with the tiny little noises I must have been making.XP
Anywho that would be for tomorrowXP
I need to study (read: watch more BuffyXP)
Night my dahlings=D

First week of school. AlmostXP
So school started this week. I didn't get into Japanse, but I am taking some classes to tide me over until I can try again next yearXP Namely the ones I'll have to take next year anyway.
I am taking a philosophy class, and one study technique class, and for kicks I am taking an archiving class, like how to preserve book and records and suchXD
I went to buy school supplies yesterday. I bought a new back pack, baby pink with Hello Kitty on itXD Yeah, I know I'm 21, but I love pink and I love Hello Kitty, and it just as well that any potential new friends I might make learn who I am straight away.XD
I also bought a fake leather filofax. It's all nice and black and smooth and purdy=D=D And I can buy whatever dayplaner to go in I want, and that is plus=D I have bought a pack of to-do lists to go in it, 'cos I like to make lists of what needs to be done, so that I don't forget anything.
I also spent half a fortune on a new winter coat. Lolita style=D=D It's black with little white trimmings and white lace. All purdy. I love it=D
I'm going to buy my school books today. I must say I do not look forward to looking at the price tags. School books are expensive...O.o
Winter is coming. I'm already having my first cold. But I don't have a fever, so at least it's a cold and not the swine fluXP
But with it comes cold and dark and snow. None of which I like.
Also the motocycle season is almost over=( I don't have one myself, but my dad does, and uses it to drive me to the train after I have been visiting my parents. It's such a treat^^, I have a suspicion that one of the reason he has been driving me to the train so much lately is that he loves riding his bike so much thouXP But it's really fun, and he is such a steady driver, but I must admit that round abouts is a bit scary, what with the leaning over and such.XD
He drove me to the bus yesterday thou, and a bumblebee flew down the front of my jacket, that was a little freaky. It did not bite or burn or whatever they do thou. I think it was early-fall-groggy, like most insects get. Mostly it was just soft and fluffy, like a little ball of cotton=D
I'm gonna finish eating my breakfast now, and then do some tidying, before I meet L to buy books^^,

Mock exam, how I despise thee
I have a math mock exam today. In like, on hour I think. And I am not ready O.o
Last week I had a mega stupid exhausting flu. And I am still tired from it, plus my math book was laying prettily in my locker at school all week, so I did not get any studying done last week at all. I even had to go early from my Japanese class, which I had dragged myself to, to have at least done something other than sleeping all week.
Yesterday I came home from school and sat down to watch Bugsy Malone on Swedish TV, which is a movie I love, but that I have never been able to see the whole thing (birthday tip everyone: Bugsy Malone on DVD), it's a 20's gangster musical, with only kids in it. It's amazing, and I love it, and actually started seeing it from the start, and then I feel asleep. And I think I slept for 5 hours, which I haven't done in months. I woke up halfway through the second Simpsons episode, totally disoriented and feeling like crap, and bone tired still, so I wasn't able to study yesterday either. And then I go to bed at half to ten and sleeps the until half to 6 (when I was woken up by a SMS about camelsXD I have funny friends^^,), which means that in 24 hours I slept 13 hours O.o
And now I have to go have a math m ock exam, and I am not prepared, and I am a bit stressed out right now. Ranting helped thou. See ya'll l8r. Luff ya^^, *runs off to start preparing provisions* XD
(And to whom it might concern: I have counted possibly 6 of you possibly in on the big surprise birthday gift, and no one is giving me any clues. It's really frustrating you know. Fiancé only laughs at me and tells me I'm cute, S doesn't even know what his in on getting me, and I don't even know if I'm gonna bother asking Auntie Mean about it all. The evil woman will only laugh at me and tell me to be a good girl and wait till my birthday. I love you all, but you are killing me here. At the moment I torn between think it's a tablet and the completion of my Pokémon collection, these being the only two thing that needs 6+ people chipping in on it. Aaargh!!! Someone feed me clues, pretty please. It's two weeks until my brithday peeps. I am dying here.)
(crossed all possible limbs and hopes for PokémansXD)

First dag of Japanese Class
So it was my first day of the new Japanese class yesterday. Level 5 now peepsXD
I LOVE Japanese^^, It was so much fun, and the people remembered me. (I was in this class last fall of 07, but then I took a brake to focus on exams.)
I'm a little behind, but I will catch up in no time, seeing as it's only a chapter and a half. Easy-peasy^^,
There were a lot of new students, and two of them speak very little Norwegian, and the poor teacher speaks almost no English. Poor thing, she struggled along thou, trying her best. She is the sweetest little Japanese woman.^^, She was really upset thou, 'cos we use Genki, that being one of the best books on the market. Just that FU Oslo, which runs the class, wants us to use Japanese for Young People. Which quite honestly is crap. So FU Oslo sends mail to everyone to tell us that we need to buy JfYP 2 and 3, text and workbook. Even thou Reiko (the teacher) sends text messages to everyone telling them to wait to buy the books, some of the students went ahead and bought them anyway. Reiko was so upset, they had to try and exchange them, and she kept apologizing. Poor thing=j
We are repeating quoting and guessing at the moment, which I have actually learned myself already, so I'm covered for the moment. I think I will be up to speed in about two weeks, give or take.^^,
We've had a week off in math. Our math teacher has taken pappaperm, which translates roughly to daddy-leave. It's maternal leave for men. You get a child, and then you get 6 weeks off basically, to take care of your little infant bundle of love^^,
So we get a sub for the 6 weeks he's on leave, just that this first week there wasn't any available subs, so we got to work at home. I better get around to doing thatXD
As a sidenote, I'm halfway through New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, and it's depressing and weird. But I'm almost done, so I am forcing myself through^^, Her narrative skills are painfully slowly improving thou. Some of the things in the book just does not make any sense. If they don't by the end of the book, await rantsXD

Economicsmono!
Just to explain the title:mono is a japanese suffix you can add onto any word to make it bad or rude.
Further explanation of the title: I do NOT like my economics class today. My classmates are noisy, and the air is stuffy and hard to breathe, even after I opened a window rigth behind my computer. This makes it hard to think. And on top of that, when I ask for help, and when my teacher comes over and discovers I have made an error he sighs in this really condescening way, like he's saying "oh, my. What is this idiot doing in my class", which of course annoys me out of my head. But what on earth is logical about the taxes you are supposed to pay going in the "incoming taxes" account?! I despise things that don't make sense, they screw up everything, making everything muddled and stupid, and when all he says is, "but that is just the way it is", with out offering the slightest explanaition of any kind on way the system works the way it does that infuriates me. Just a tad. A great big hunk of a tad. I DO NOT like my econimics class or my economics teacher today. I do NOT enjoy being made to feel stupid, no one does, and he made me feel like I should be in an effing special class for kids with learning issues.
BLAH!!!
Rant end.
(and if anyone can make economics logical for me, I will hunt them down and kiss them)

Princess Ai goodness
I should be reading the Mao biography, but I am so sick of it. It's a very good book and all, but I have to be done by Monday, and I have bit over 80 pages left. I don't want to stress read on Monday, so I am trying to be done by Sunday, which means I have to read 30 pages a day (I had a bit over 90 pages when I started today). I have been trying to cram in as much reading time as possible, but the thing is I am addicted to television. It's on all the time, and it's kind of distracting me from reading. I can do homework and blog and surf and pretty much everything with the stupefyingbox on, but I can't read, and if I turn it off it becomes eerily quiet, and if I put on music on Playground it becomes dark, and if I play music on the DVD player all the movement from the screen goes away, and yah, I'm addicted to TV. What I have been doing is reading to MTV (before noon when it actually plays music >.<) or VoiceTV, but then there is an interesting video or the commercial break comes all with all it's stupid, loud, distracting, annoying, obnoxious... *running out of adjectives* commercials that distract and annoy me. Another thing I have been doing is reading in the commercial breaks with the sound off. Anywho, I have too little time to read, and reading in the breaks at school, and on the bus just isn't enough. And I have to do my homework as well. So yah....
What I was going to say was: I should really finish off the Mao biography, but I really needed to read something purdy, so I have been reading Princess Ai today. I am a slow manga reader, so it took me a good 4 hours, after all what is the point of beautiful art if I'm not going to ogle it? I spent probably double the time drooling over Ai and Kent that I spent actually reading...>.<
I loved it either way thou. The art is to die for, Ai apperance shift subtly throughout the story to suit her mood, and the things going on. When she is happy and bouncy, she looks cartoonish and ditzy and when she is angry or serious there are much more detail and she looks fierce and dangerously beautiful. The story, thin thou it might be, is very well told. The use of suspence is put in the right places is just the right amount, it holds back without being tedious. The lyrics to the songs she sings are tantalizing, and I have got to find out if some has put music to those lyrics. And if they have, I need to have that album. The characters are faceted and evolves in just the right way.
It's a wonderfully executed movie on paper. And I hope they do make it a movie. I think Mana would be great as Ai. Yes I do know Mana is a man, and I do know he has this thing about not talking in public, but he looks just right, all mysterious and aloof and gorgeous. And he wears gothic lolita fashion already. But I have no idea if he can sing, which would be essential, and I honestly don't think he could be as ditzy and bouncy as Ai tends to be sometimes, and come to think of it he would probably be horrible in that role. But he would look amazing while being horrible>.<

Light Princess Ai spoilers ahoy. Again, I am not able to make my point without revealing some of the content. Not much, but spoilers are spoilers so proceed with caution.

Bentogoodness
Lookie the purdy bento^^, (and the giant, sloppy maki>.< I am horrible at rolling maki. The awesome fiancé usually rolls the awesome maki^^,) Anywho, the purdy bento contains one maki with chicken curry filling, one cupcake cup with rice and chicken curry on top, and four giant, sloppy (but yet, tasty) California maki. All put nicely inside my pink Hello Kitty bentobox, with nice little white chopsticks in the lid, that I got from Christmas (I think it was Christmas, might have been my birthday, but I am pretty sure it was Christmas) from team Gacha Gacha. My German teacher was awed by the awesomeness of my awesome bento^^,
I warned you, do not say I did not warned you, this is the first of the dreaded math rants. This one is about the insufficiency of my previous math classes. It's not all that strange that I don't know how to solve a logarithm when I have never learned it. I looked it up in my mathbook from my first year at senior high and it has one page about logarithm, none of which I can remember reading, so apparently I have not learned it. I think... I just remembered I used to have two mathbooks. Blah! This is why I do not like the idea of selling schoolbooks. I think I will go ask the mathteacher to help me tomorrow. Blah!

Sky High and nighttime nerdyness
Okey, lets just get this out there right away. I am a nerd, I suffer from major nerdyness, and honestly I love my nerdyness. And what does a nerd do on a long, lonely Sunday evening? Why math of course. I am taking math this year, and it's so much fun^^, I looked through the book thou, and some of it seemed hard, so expect rants in the future>.< Anyway, they aired Sky High on TV earlier this evening, a movie that I honestly did not care to see, but nothing else was on. And it was adorable. So cute^^, And the one that seemed like the crook in the beginning was so hot^^, He reminded me of Lex from the Tribe, which by the way is a great TV show, and I am so miffed that they canceled it.

I posses incredible self control
I went to see the study guide/counselor man today, because my subjects were still messed up, and he realized he had put me up for the wrong math class, so the book I bought yesterday was wrong. I also can't take English after all=( But I am taking marked economics instead, so I will be fine. Also he told me that I can borrow all the books I need at school, so I don't need to spend a small fortune on books after all=D
Anyway, I went to return my book, and I got a nice big credit slip, and I did not spend it on Japanese books. Ain't I just the pinnacle of self control? >.< I am very pleased with myself. I have rediscovered my love of math. It's so gloriously logical=D And I do so love things that make sense^^,

Expensive schoolbooks
I have been shopping for schoolbooks today, and I am once again appalled by the prizes they charge for them. My math book cost 598kr. That is almost 600 for a book! They exploit the fact that we don't have a choice,we have to have these books, we don't have a choice, and the prizes totally undermine that senior high is supposed to be free and for everyone. I can get that if we were to borrow books from the school, like we do in elementary school and junior high, they can't update all that often, but I think they should charge no more than 300-400kr for a new book. Tops! I know I can buy used books, but my local bookstore, from which I usually buy my schoolbooks (used if I can find them) don't have books for my grade this year, because we can borrow from the school. Which I can get, but we were supposed to borrow them yesterday, and I didn't know which subjects I was taking yesterday.
I signed up for classes today. They had messed up and signed me up for the third year classes, but I took all of them last year, so I had to fix it. So this year I am taking German, English literature and culture, math, and social studies. I am looking forward to starting my classes^^,
