Fan hva snygt

Apparently I am pretty^^,
Still at Birdie, and the photo competition just had a showing of the pictures, one of which portray yours truly playing with soap bubbles. And from the stage area where all the people were watching came a "fan hva snygt" (Damn, how pretty). Now they might have been talking about the bubbles, but my ego chooses to think they were talking about me^^,
I don't think we'll win thou, I think the half naked chick with the pink hair will win. Seeing as how she's half naked in the pics XP

Fun seeing myself on bigscreen^^,

Nail art is harder than it looks

So I got this awesome nail polish for Christmas from L3, the youngest sister of L1, with this super thin brush meant for nail art. So I gave that a spin today.
And let me tell you, I never expected it to be easy, but it was haaaaaard.
As you can see, I wasn't super successful, but it turned out pretty nice for a first try, don't you think.
I only did the one hand thou, 'cos I can't draw with me left. Just doing my regular nail-polish on my right hand is hard enough. I need to practice. Maybe I should keep up this new beauty craze and go pluck my eyebrows?
Or maybe not. It hurts!XP

All new art will go here

I am leaving DeviantArt.
I have been using DA for over 3 years and lately the site has lost all my trust. They have added share buttons, and due to the TOS (terms of agreement) the sites the share buttons belong to have, I don't want them.
And not only will they not remove them, they are being very childing about it. Calling us who want them to be optional all sorts of thing, including childish, paranoid, narrow minded etc.
They keep telling us that removing them will only hurt ourselves, but if it was that way why won't they give us the option to choose for our selves? I believe that they way they see it, if we get to choose not have our art linked to on sites like FaceBook and Reddit, they will loose the free PR it is for their site, and that is why they are taking away our control.
So I am leaving DeviantArt.

I don't really want to start in a new art society, just to have this happen to me again in three years.
So fom now on, this blog will be my art site. All my new art (I won't backlog) will be posted here. Can't guarantee it will be often or at all, but that is the way I will do it from now on.
My poetry won't go here thou. I will make a new blog for that=j

And while we are on the subject of art: I have bought colouring books today^^, And coloured pencils.
I have decided that I enjoy colouring more than actually drawing. I like colours, and I am actually good at that. It's the outlines and proportions and such that I suck atXP
So there might be some showing off of my (hopefully) awesome colouring skillsXP

And just BTW, I will still be keeping all of my DA accounts. (Partially 'cos DA doesn't allow you to delete your actual accounts.) So commenting and faving of other people's art will still occur=D

I found, I found

Haunted Island by ~TomPreston on deviantART

I found this really cool comic artist on DA. Or rather, he got a DD and I went to look at his site, and he had tons of cool stuff.
The poor man keeps getting DDs for the wrong stuff thou, for his fan art and the work he doesn't think is the best himself. So I'm doing a feature blog to feature the art I like=D
The above strip is from a pirate comic he does, and I want one bad. I can't really figure out his site, so I'm not sure if he does it online, but you can buy it on Amazon. And I really want it. The Adventures of Alex Ze Pirate
And then he does this series:

Welcome to the Jungle by ~TomPreston on deviantART
Which seems so funny. I want that on too: Formera Volume 1 Formera Volume Two
I would not be displease if you bought them for meXP

He also does great fan-art=D

Easter Bunnies by ~TomPreston on deviantART
Aren't they cute.

You should all totally click on images and go to his DeviantArt account=D=D You're in for a treat if you do=D=D

Long time no post

Been a while since I posted. Still haven't gotten a reply about uni. Have gotten loads more B-day presents. Have collaborated in taking third in a photo contest. Should be doing homework right now...

Photo contest first, shall we.
Fiancé being the wonderful computer nerd that he is goes to The Gathering in Hamar each year (one of Scandinavia's biggest nerdfestsXD) and he enters in the competitions every year. This year we took third in the photocontest with this pic:

Crouching Angel, Hidden Dragon by ~wlkr on deviantART

I did the lightpainting, he did the posing and the post work. Purdy isn't he=D

We took 4th last year with a video called Nightlife using the same technique, but I don't have it right now. We should have taken 2nd, seeing as both first and third place violated the contest rules, but water under the bridge ne?

I have gotten more B-day presents, including flavour thingys for onigiri, Japanese dictionary for my DS <3, Miffy on DVD, and a genuine D&G wallet O.o
Good times=D=D

Better go read my German homework me thinks
No word of the day today, swoowy

Bending Water

I don't often write about art. I never have I think, if I need to write about art I usually do so on DeviantArt, but this needed writing about.
Me and fiancé have had the 4 year anniversary for our engagement today. On our way to the train we walked over Tulinløkka, which is a parking lot placed between the national museum and the historical museum in Oslo, and on one of the wall there was this amazing projection on the wall. So me and fiancé went over to the artist and started to talk, it turned out they were doing a test run for this exhibition the are going to run on the wall from October 16th through December 30th. It is called Bending Water and the artist Sven Påhlsson have been working on the thing for two years solid, using the same weather models that NASA uses to predict storms and such.
You can read all about it here: the Norwegian National Museum of Art.
I hope that anyone who has the chance will go and take a look. It's free and I will probably go see it as often as I can, I got this serene feeling from it, like watching the rolling tides or those tubes of water with bubbles traveling up them, so if anyone needs company give me a heads up and we can go together^^,

While we are on the subject of art I would like you to check out this amazingly talented photographer: tiramcsr
I dare say I might be a little biased in liking her work, seeing as she's my baby sister, but she is very talented. And all her skill has been acquired in a year of media school, talk about fast learner ne? I particularly love this picture:
Clicking the picture will take you to the original on DeviantArt.
The model is my cat Tullerusk, and my sister tells me she modeled it very determinately, obviously enjoying the attention. She actually loves being photographed, and she knows all about showing of her best angles^^, My sister captured her gorgeously^^,
So go and take a look, and if you are registered you are very welcome to watch and comment^^,
