I hate this day

Yeah, like my day haven't been bad enough, what with the zombies, and forgetting my breakfast in the toast oven, and apparently having hurt my finger.
You know the effing Pokémon games I bought used off the net. They're fake.
They're as fake as they can get. Fake through and through.
I have ordered new ones (from another seller obviously), and if those also turn out to be fake, I will report them both straight into oblivion.
Boyfriend seems to think that the seller didn't know they were fake, so he doesn't want me to report him, but I seriously want to. Not only because I don't think he's right. But I am also a little vindictive.
I have sent the seller a mail wanting my money back, and I am gonna wait a little, but if he doesn't respond I am going to report him. It's illegal to sell fake games, and I really should report him to maybe Nintendo or something. In my opinion it's one thing to download music, nobody makes money off of that, except actually the record companies. I end up buying a lot of the music or movies I have others download for me. Downloading isn't illegal anyway, uploading is.
But selling knock-offs, that IS illegal, and it's wrong to make money off of fake stuff. Also I would not be surprised if the fake game would ruin my real games.

And all these crappy things just HAD to happen right before my exam right? Everything has to go wrong at once when I am stressed out and on the edge already doesn't it?
I fucking (oh em gee, a cuss word) this day. This fucking awful day can go to hell!!!

Stupid game=(

You know the Sapphire I wrote about a couple of hours ago?
The one that keeps bugging.
I think someone messed it up.
It has a sticker over the screw that reads "MM do not open". If anyone knows this sticker, could you please comment and tell me what it means?
It keeps freezing and bugging and now it won't migrate Pokémon into SoulSilver.
That was 200SEK right out the window.
I just want to cry right now....

I liek Torchics^^,

My two third generation games arrived today^^,
Ruby and Sapphire. I chose Torchic for my starter on my Sapphire game. Of course I'll do the whole start-trade-start over to get all the starters^^, I hope the wireless trading works for GBA games as well.XD
I like Torchic, might be because I like Dawn, but I like Torchic anyway. Mudkips are cute and all, but Torchic is way cuter. And Treecko is mildly cute but Sceptile is a truly foul-looking Pokémon.
Actually all the third generation starters evolve into really ugly Pokémon.
I mean Combusken and Blaziken are cool and all, it's just that... not really. They look weird.
Marshtomp is a total dahling, but Swampert is really fugly.

Seriously thou, the out-of-battle graphics are really bad. I have played ROMS before, but I had totally forgotten just how spectacularly awful they are. I mean, the out-of-battle graphics always was a little bad, but they look all tiny and squashed. The IN-battle graphics are unrivalled in horrifficness in the first generation. I mean, Machop looks like a it could be drawn by a kindergartener XD

I will probably be distracted from my exam-studying today, but my plan is to go back to studying fulltime again tomorrow. At least I'll tryXD

But but but... Celebii!!!!!

So, can anyone give me a good reason why I should not go to Japan for a couple of days at the end of summer to get event-only shiny legendary beasts? And a special event-only Celebii?
Japan is hella expensive, so I wouldn't really be able to stay for more than a week tops, but it's shiny event-only Pokémans!!!! I wants them!!!
Some please give me a good reason not to do something rash, like ordering tickets to go to Japan for about two days, enough time to get my Pokémon, but nothing more, 'cos that's all I can afford. I WANTS them!!!!!!!!!!

Pokégasming so hard right now XD

They are releasing Generation 5 in Japan this fall. And I want it so bad I can literally taste it!
They have amped up the gorgeous 3D graphics, it soooooo PRETTY!!!!
Go see for yourself^^, Pokémon Black and White *fangirling all over everywhere*XD XD
I have not been able to find out almost anything, except that it's gonna be for the normal DS console, and not for the 3DS. This is the first time ever they have released two generations for one console. And now don't you come here and wave first and second generation in my face, because the first were for the regular GameBoy, and the second were released in gorgeous full colour for the GameBoy Color.

Okey, breathe....

So I started to tally my collection again.
And I own 23 games. Which would seem a lot... Well, it IS a lot. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time and money on this little hobby of mine, but we need to look at the big picture here. I have been collecting since '98. And it's been a good 12 years^^, We do of course not talk about the Dark Ages. (Another name for the Dark Ages is of course the Teen Age Years. Which was when I went goth and became to "cool" for my biggest passion in the world. We do not talk about these years. Except to sulk about the humongous hole they caused to appear in my Pokémon collection='C )

I am missing 9 games. I have about 70% complete collection.
I am missing the entire 3rd generation (damn those Dark Ages. Most wasted years of my entire life. Puberty should be outlawed....). Which are 5 games.
And then I am missing Green. Which was only released in Japan. This makes it kinda hard to come by, but I am going to have it. I need it for my complete collection.
That completes the list of the main games that I miss. 6 games in total.

Then there is the spin-off games.
Of which I am missing:
Trading Card Game GB 2. Which was also a Japan Only release.
Pokémon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire
And Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (Which I can go out and buy whenever I feel like it. I would too, if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive in Norway=/)

9 games in total. Plus Black and White when they are released in Japan in the fall. That will make it 11.

I actually during the research for this blogpost (yah, I occasionally research my blogpostsXD) I actually managed to track down both of the Japan Only games to prices that I can afford. Without even having to skimp on almost anything. I can totally do without mushroom soup for a couple of months, and I buy no clothes or books almost at all already. (I have way too many book that I have not read yet anywhoXD)
So I am buying them for myself as a exam-gift for myself^^,
And before you go off about regional restrictions, it's not an issue. All handheld Nintendo consoles are regional-restriction free^^,

Oh em gee! I am so fangirling out over this!!!! Breathe.

(And before anyone goes off about the ridiculous amounts of time and money I have put into this obsession, or want to ridicule me for having it in the first place I just want to say this:
It's the only hobby I have, and have ever been able to maintain interest in. They don't take up very much room, and unlike games like WOW I can put them away without missing out. I can go months without them if I have to. They are the only things I have that I will never get rid of except if I ever get extremely strapped for money, and then I will cry, probably for weeks on end. They are my childhood and they have gotten me through some of the darkest times in my life. Even during the Dark Ages I would sometimes sneak away and play Pokémon to calm myself down, and remember better days. They mean an incredible lot to me, and I don't think it's stupid or childish of me to want to complete this one collection. I would much rather collect these games than some other random thing. V collects bunnies and L collects cows. We collect things that mean something to us and that are special to us. I collect Pokémon. If you think it's childish or stupid or wasteful I simply do not want to hear it. Some people think that I am too old, and that I should grown out if it soon, and I think that is as stupid as expecting my mom to stop quilting. So yah. If you have anything to say except "yay! Pokémon! Cool!" I do not want to hear it. I am tired of being looked down at for this. So if you don't like it, you can just skip the Pokémon posts here on this blog, and you can hold your tongue, because I am simply not interested. I am a Pokémaniac, and I am damn proud of it!)

Can I has Pokémans?

So I was gonna write about Alice in Wonderland, which I saw yesterday. Yeah. That's not gonna happen right this moment, it will have to be later, because today I did something I have not done in months.
I threw saving out the window and spent my birthday money in advance. I bought Heartgold and Soulsilver.
Yes, I am perfectly aware of the fact that I could have saved a buck-load of money by ordering them from the states, but I just could not wait. I have been practising very hard not to be all instant gratification, but apparently this does not apply to Pokémon games which I have been anxious awaiting for, I guess, for over a year now.
I have been super focused on not reading or watching for it at all, in fear that this exact thing would happen. It happened anyway.
The thing is I was meeting S at Strømmen Storsenter on Wednesday for some photographing for TG, and I did the error of walking past one of the two game stores the mall has, and outside there was a cardboard poster thingy, which showed Ho-oh and Lugia, in all their glory. I melted instantly. I rushed in to the store, all big eyed and giggly to find the boxes on the shelves. They had "pre-order now" stickers on them, and price-tags and they came with limited edition figurines.
When I got home, I started gushing more or less instantly and constantly. For two days, until Boyfriend offered to borrow me the money. And I deliberated for hours last night.
I finally decided to buy one now, and order the other from the states for a much cheaper rate.
But when I got there this morning (they were released today) I just could not decide, and I wanted the limited edition figurines (yeah, Pokémon figurines are not evol trinkets, they are limited edition, very rare Pokémon figurines currently on display on a shelf), so I caved to my desires and bought them both.
It is finally official, I am a Crazy Collector Lady.
Also I will be mostly unavailable for the next... Month? Depends on how long it's gonna take me to get to the mayor roadblock which is Goldenrod City. I swear that Miltank is pure evil. Or rather it's rollout attack is. It's the stuff nightmares are made out of. Some I am actually gonna be mainly unavailable until 8PM todayXP It's only the third gym after all. I am a Pokémaniac. You kned that. Don't look so shocked.

The fact that I bought them, does mean however, that I am not allowed to buy any DS games, or Nintendo games AT ALL, for a loooooooong time.


And now: What do I think about the games.
It's this simple: It is the single best generation EVER, in the best graphics to date, with lots of neat things from the later generations, and all the cool things (this far any way) from the actual original games. It's the best of everything, AND it comes with a Pokéwalker, which you can transfer ANY Pokémon at all to.
You can walk around with any Pokémon of your choosing. You know, the coolest feature from Yellow, the extra-game for first generation.

It's lovely. It's amazing. It's gorgeous. It's Pokémon at it's absolute BEST, and I have only gotten to Voilet City. I LOVE it to bits.

Oh, and don't buy it for my birthday seeing as I already have both. Sorry for any plans this has ruined. I just could not help myselfXP

I liek mudkips (or rather webcomics, whatever)

Of course I do like mudkips, but this post is supposed to be about the webcomics.
I can of couse drop a little mention that I at the moment have 199 Pokémons in my Crystal game. None of the mudkips, seeing as mudkips are third generation starters, but still. Only evolving and trading left. I have caught every single catchable Pokémon in the game. Do I rock or what^^,
My thanks go out to the Gachas, who with the kind gift of my Crystal game made this possible. Also I would like to thank L who is borrowing me her GameBoy Color, so that I kind do the single most geekiest thing a Pokémon geek can do, namely trading Pokémon with myself. Also I would like to thank all the people who gave me money for my 10th (I think) birthday, so that I could buy a GameBoy Color in the first place, and also a boy in my class in elementary school that borrowed me his Pokémon game, which started my Pokémon craze in the first place,

Actually I have the complete 1st, 2nd and 4th generation. (I was too cool when the 3rd and the remake of the 1st came out.)
I actually have 19 Pokémon games. This of course include spin-offs. I have ALL the Pokémon games that came out for the GameBoy Color. Except Green, but that one was only release in Japan, and is basically Blue, but just in Japan.
I have not counted up how many games I am missing.

These days I am reading the entire archives of Narbonic.
Which is fun. Not as fun as Girl Genuis. If you liked and/or got hooked to Weregeek, which I wrote about a long time ago, then you need to read Girl Genius. Not all that much alike, story wise, but very alike in feel, if you get what I mean. I would go so far as classify Girl Genius as a neon sugar prose-type webcomic.
Then we have Girls with slingshot which is a same type comics as Questionable Content and S*mething Positive, in the meaning that they are all about twenty-something (thirty-something in the case of S*mething positive, because the characters age in real-time and it has been going since late 2001. The archive might seem daunting, but it is SO worth it. I would throw my entire future plans out the window in a second if I got a job offer to work at Nerdrotica. No I am not kidding or hyperboling, I would. In a second seriously=D) people basically living life. I LOVE Hannelore. I want my very own Hannelore. She is so cute^^,
If you like Home on the Strange you need to read Ferret's new series My name is Might Have Been, which is about a post apocalyptic world where musicians a gods. It's really out there, and really god. King of Pops is the guy you go to to have him dig of the corpses of past musicians and have him peel their clothes of their decaying bodies so that you can wear them when you are on stage^^, Okey that sounded really graphic and gross, but it's not. You don't get to see, it's just so you get the feel. And the art is gorgeous.
Then there is Punch an' Pie, which is about the cutest (and craziest) character from Queen of Wands, namely Angela. She is adorable, bi, poly, short and CRAZY^^, It's written by Aerie who also wrote Queen of Wands, and the art is by Chris Daily, the mastermind behind Strip Tease. Which is not dirty. It's not a porn comic, I promise. My mom reads this blog, so I don't post porn links in here. I promise! Cross my heart and hope to live. It's about people making a comic^^,
Khaos Komix doesn't ever get graphic either, but narrowminded/homophobic/transphobic or basically any people who doesn't realize that any love, any love at all, is pure and beautiful, or people who don't realize that some people are simply born in the wrong body, they can all steer clear of this comic.
Are you how ever openminded, and realize that love is love no matter who it is directed at, and that is a pure and beautiful thing regardless, I recommend this Khaos Komix, because it's wonderful. Also I recommend the forums if you have gender/sexuality issues, and simply need to talk in place where noone judges, and everyone is included. If I get wind that anyone from here trolls that forum and make the people there hurt, so help me god I will hunt you down and castrate you with something very dull and very painful, no matter which sex you are you will not be able to spawn in any way when I am done with you. So DON'T TROLL!!!!'
And this last one is of course Devil's Panties which should be a staple in any bookmarks list, and which everyone should read. It's that great!
